NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Western Carolina is an organization of individuals, most of whom have experience with behavioral health concerns themselves or in their families.

NAMI provides understanding and compassion, crisis resources, information, and support group meetings for individuals, families, and caregivers.  They offer support, information and resources, and a safe place to talk openly about concerns, anxieties, frustrations, guilt and isolation.

NAMI provides and/or supports formal programs including:

  • Family to Family
  • In Our Own Voice
  • Bridges of Hope
  • Crisis Intervention Team training for law enforcement, emergency responders, school resource officers and others

NAMI is located on the upper level / second floor of C3356 and has office hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 am until 3 pm, as well as scheduled evening and weekend programs.
